Week 7 Video

Hey Everybody,

Here is our week 7 video

Here is a look at the schedule your puppy will be on. You do not have to stick to this exactly but your puppy will need a set schedule.

6:00am- Take all puppies out to their potty spot. Highly praise them for going to the bathroom.

7:15am- Feed all puppies and offer water. Play after then potty break followed by nap.

9:00am- Offer water, Potty break followed by lots of praise, play time, then nap

12:00pm- Feed all puppies and offer water, Potty break followed by lots of praise, play time, then nap

3:00pm- Offer water, Potty break followed by lots of praise, play time, then nap

6:00pm- Feed all puppies and offer water, potty break followed by lots of praise and play time

Before bed- Potty break at potty spot- light praise then place in crate

Middle of the night- Take puppy to potty spot- light praise then place back in crate.

Remember the first few days are going to be hard for your puppy as this is the first time they are away from their litter mates and mom. Give them time to adjust...patience :)

6 Week Check up

We had our 6 week check-up today and Dr. Barron said they look great! They received their first round of shots and microchip. All this information will be in your puppy packets. 

We will post our week 6 video tomorrow :)

Meet the twins

Hey!!

Here is Ms. Purple and Mr. Black. Both pups and Zelda are doing great. We are finally cathing up on a little sleep as we don't leave their side for the first 48 hours. 

Zelda is taking great care of the pups. Mr. Black was 19.5 oz when he was born and Ms. Purple was 17.5oz. 

They will get dewclaws removed tomorrow 

We have puppies......

Hey!!!

Just wanted to share a quick picture of the "twins". Both pups and mom are doing great. The first 48-72 hours are crazy around here making sure the pups are nursing and mom is doing okay. Here is a photo I snapped yesterday not long after they were born (male on the left and female on the right). As you can tell both are big healthy pups. I will post more pictures within the next few days when things calm down.

Update

Hey Everybody,

Just wanted to give a quick update on Zelda. Today is her due date and she is doing great....still no puppies but we can tell she is getting close. If we don't have pups by tomorrow afternoon we will go for another X-ray to make sure the positioning of the puppies is okay for delivery. I will update on here as soon as we have pups!

X-Ray

Hey Everybody,

Today we went for our X-ray and we were definitely surprised at what we saw. We could only see 2 puppies. The pups look good (which is the main thing)….we were just surprised to only see 2. I have sent each of you an email just to let you know where we stand. We are now patiently waiting on the arrival of the 2 (possibly 3...but not likely) puppies. 

I will let you know as soon as they are born and the gender.

Zelda is doing great and the x-ray is below (sorry it's hard to see but if you look closely you can see the 2 pups at the bottom). 

I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

8 days away.....

Hey Everybody,

We are now 8 days away from Zelda's due date. She is doing great! We will go tomorrow (Thursday) for an X-ray and hope to be able to see how many puppies she will have. I will post a picture of the X-ray on here tomorrow and let you all know what we see.

I wanted to share a quick video of Zelda enjoying the 70 degree temperatures here in Alabama. As you can see her belly is starting to get pretty big. She is still our sweet loving girl :)

Ultrasound in 2 weeks....

Hey Everybody!!

Just wanted to give a quick update...Zelda is doing great!! She is definitely packing on the pounds (but we have also increased her food....she is eating a mixture of puppy and dog food). The extra pounds and calories will help once the puppies start nursing on her. 

We are 2 weeks out from our ultrasound...YAY!!!

I will video the ultrasound and it will be posted on this blog for you all to view. 

It won't be too much longer until we have puppy pictures and videos :)

Hey Everybody,

Welcome to our Zelda/ Tommy blog! This is where ALL information will be posted. This helps us share all news, updates, pictures, videos and everything else with everyone as quick as possible. You are still more than welcome to send me private email messages if you have any questions or anything.

There is a place on the top right of the blog that you can enter your email address....it will then send you a confirmation email (check your junk folder if it is not in your inbox). Once you have confirmed the email then you will receive an email update every time I post to the blog. Once the puppies are born this is where all pictures and weekly videos will be posted.

Zelda Update: She is doing great!!! We will go for on an ultrasound around January 31st (I will let you know the exact date once we are closer). We will video the ultrasound and share it on this blog.

Tommy Update: Let's just say he is still VERY excited. The breeding took place on December 27th but he is still very attracted to Zelda ;)

We have a due date of February 28th so mark you calendars!

It won't be too long until your pup will be this size and ready to meet their new family :)
